About Mars A Lago

It started, as many good things and, let's face it, the all-too-frequent not-so-good things do, on Twitter

Like a fool, I responded

And, well, here we are, at Mars A Lago

The original plan was to have this site as a curated collection of links, blogs and Twitter feeds, both serious and not-so-serious, commenting on the ongoing Trump-related events in the US, Brexit and Election2017 related events in the UK but there were so many other sites doing this much better than we ever could, and the issues themselves seemed to be morphing into self-parodies to the extent that further comment, satirical or otherwise, was difficult to distinguish from reality.

Our aim now is to provide some light relief from all this tedium by switching our focus to entertainment and reminiscing about the good old days of blues and prog-rock in the late 60s and early 70s

You may find yourself on this site if you were trying to browse village-blues-club.co.uk, village-blues-club.online, villagebluesclub.co.uk or villagebluesclub.online
That's fine - the sites are all part of one big happy, if somewhat dysfunctional, family.
Most of the information for the Village Blues Club is held here at MarsALago.com - it's got a good website building package that makes it easy to put the pages together.
You may find, though, that some functions send you off to another one of our sites - westfarthing.com
Again, that's nothing to worry about - it's all part of the plan because that website lets us do fancy "behind the scenes" database lookups and other technical stuff.
Both MarsALago.com and westfarthing.com are SSL certified for secure browsing.

Anyway, that's enough technical talk for now ... feel free to start browsing the sections in the menu bar ("hamburger" dropdown on mobile devices) or click on either of the planet logos at the top or bottom of the page to go back to our main homepage
