The original plan was to have this site as a curated collection of links, blogs and Twitter feeds, both serious and not-so-serious, commenting on the ongoing Trump-related events in the US, Brexit and Election2017 related events in the UK but there were so many other sites doing this much better than we ever could, and the issues themselves seemed to morph into self-parodies to the extent that further comment, satirical or otherwise, became difficult to distinguish from reality., 

Hopefully, most of that is behind us now even though we'll probably be dealing with the aftermath for several years yet and, of course, the Covid-19 pandemic hasn't really helped morale.

Five years on from the humble beginnings, our aim now is to provide some light relief from all the tedium by focusing  on entertainment and reminiscing about the good old days of blues and prog-rock in the late 60s and early 70s

Please bear with us,  though, while we're making some minor tweaks to  the structure of The Village section - you may find that occasionally some links may be broken or not direct you to the page you expected but we're doing our best to make sure that everything fits together as it should.
